I used http://www.gliffy.com/for the floor plan of my kitchen. I know that we have an interior design that could use this site. It seemed very easy to use. All you have to do is drag and drop.
For the mind map I used http://bubbl.us/
I had problems signing up, could not find the submit button it kept disappearing. It takes along to load the project sheet. Also figuring how to put it in the blog was a more difficult with this tool.
I did like the mind mapping and it was very easy to use. I do agree that mind maps are easier for the creator than the reader.
